Jerick McKinnon of the Kansas City Chiefs has been placed on injured reserve (IR) due to a groin injury. With McKinnon out for the rest of the regular season, Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire are expected to lead the Chiefs' backfield, with La'Mical Perine as a reserve. It is unclear if McKinnon will be able to rejoin the team for the playoffs.

Head Coach Andy Reid confirmed that RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be the starter for the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills. While it's unclear how the workload will be split among the Chiefs' running backs, Edwards-Helaire is expected to receive a significant portion of the work. Jerick McKinnon is also in the mix, along with practice-squad RBs La'Mical Perine, Deneric Prince, and Keaontay Ingram.
