The Denver Broncos have released safety Kareem Jackson after he was suspended twice this season and fined for repeated violations of unnecessary roughness rules. The team hopes to bring him back to the practice squad if he clears waivers. Jackson has started 69 games for the Broncos over the last five seasons and returned to practice last week after serving a four-game suspension. He was not activated for the Broncos' recent game against the New England Patriots. P.J Locke has been starting in Jackson's safety spot and has performed well with three sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception in the last eight games.
